floots - plenty of noise here at midnight - young crickets learning their parts, should be a tighter sound by September or so. Must be some frogs in the mix out there too...i guess these three short lines do jam miles and the cricket together - different kind of jam session!

masago - i like hearing the crickets outside, and they do seem to synchronize as the summer winds down - I've always meant to look into that, there must be stuff written on it.
jon - thank you - peter & I enjoy checking on the very fine work that you do creating all of those characters, and it's good to see your paintings too.
andrew - you teach music - i think that's right - and must be getting ready for classes to start up again soon. best wishes with this year's young musical imaginations!
