Nose Above Water

In the crash-sound of Waikiki
each molecule clings to another
never asking why or wherefore

O great globular droplet
poised among fiery star engines
floating in frozen space-night

The Pull of each apart
for hidden purpose or unknown
bringing sense of this and other

And yet we must speak
of loves and rice cakes
and keeping airways mostly dry

ms kai c - I'm very pleased that you checked back...things are kind of crazy but it's good to have this writing thing to do and I'm glad for your words :)

polona - it's good to come up for air :) nice to hear from you

floots - the waving is a bit frantic at times...got to get out with my camera, though it's bitter cold lately and rather easy to drift off to Waikiki (never been, but aloha would sound good, and maybe even their version of guitar :))

Their music, umbrella drinks and grass skirts, all sound good to me. Treading water is all you can do some days.
