Poetic Strains

Thought fog displacement
replenish the ice cubes
gaze at high 90 night (F of course)

conversational stir
swirled picture frames
refocus on the screen

a penny for thoughts
a thought for pennies
but gas is way more

simple news about wars,
weather, whatever -
heat crimes

thankful for the end
which passes understated
ready for the rewrite

A
pleasant
read.

Today I have to put gas in my van, ughhh.

I am curious how that Tuchman book is coming? I stalled on mine. I got caught up in Jonathan Raban's "Waxwings". A nice thing to do, pick up a good bit of Raban's fiction in the midst of a Tuchman's 14th century...

I really like this steve. It reads just like the world around us.

andrew - thanks :)

ryan - thank you, I just drove by the highest gas prices I've seen and wondered how high it will go before something rather dramatic happens. Likely not on the scale of Tuchman's topics...although I sent it back after reading a few chapters...reading now about estate planning, patent law, music law, all with a view to dealing with the next chapter of life. Though I do love research - mostly, anyway.

floots - I really didn't know what else to write, so this is all that came out.

aurora - exactly...thank you.

pat - it's good to think about a rewrite. Thanks for your faithful good humor!

queen neetee - I really like that picture. It show you happy in a way that is really great. Thank you.
